Dr Francesco Marcaletti and Dr Rita Cavallotti presented a paper at the 13th Conference of the European Sociological Association: “(Un)Making Europe: Capitalism, Solidarities, Subjectivities”, held in Athens from 29 August – 1 September 2017. Paper title: Mature adults and the intergenerational solidarity within the family. The Spanish case.
Dr Francesco Marcaletti delivered the presentation: “Trade union membership, industrial relations systems and working migrants’ integration at workplace level across Europe: An exploratory comparative study”, at the 3rd International Conference on the Sociology of Public and Social Policies: Globalisation, Inequality and New Insurgent Forces, Faculty of Economics and Business, held at the University of Zaragoza, Zaragoza, on 1 June 2017
Dr Remei Agulles and Dr Francesco Marcaletti presented the results of the Spanish phase of the Global Home Index, a study conducted in 80 countries. The IESF is the project’s partner in Spain. This initiative was created under the auspices of the Home Renaissance Foundation and promoted by the Walmart Centre for Work-Family Balance (CONFyE) of the IAE Business School in Argentina and the Culture, Work and Care Centre of the INALDE Business School in Colombia. The objective is to determine how the work required to create a home is valued and experienced.
The results of the project Family Intergenerational Solidarity Index (FISIndex) were presented by Dr Rita Cavallotti and Dr Frederic Marimon on 31 August 2016 at the 8th Congress of the European Society on Family Relations (ESFR), Changing Family Relations – Gender and Generations (Dortmund University). The title of the presentation was: Design and validation of a measurement scale of intergenerational family solidarity.
